Actors Library
Build and manage a library of reusable character references for visual consistency
The Actors Library is a team-wide collection of character references that can be reused across projects. It ensures visual consistency when the same character appears in multiple projects.
Accessing the Actors Library
Navigate to Actors from the main navigation. The library shows all Actors as a grid of cards.
Adding Actors
Click Add Actors to create a new entry. You can provide:
- Name — The Actors's display name
- Reference images — Upload photos or reference images that define the character's appearance
- Description — Optional notes about the character
Reference images are used by the AI during image generation to maintain visual consistency.
Import Actors from HeyGen
If you've entered your HeyGen API key here (https://scene.video/settings/api-keys) [API Keys] Click Import from HeyGen to import your existing avatar. You can provide: Select your Avatar, Choose a voice. and then choose a Look.
Reference images are used by the AI during image generation to maintain visual consistency.
Actor Cards
Each actor card in the library shows:
- Reference image thumbnail
- Actor name
- Action buttons for editing and managing
Filtering
Use the filter bar to view:
- All — Every Actors in the library
- Favorites — Actors you've marked as favorites
Using Actors in Projects
Actors can be used in two ways:
Pre-Generation (Suggestions)
When creating a new project, click the Actors icon in the script view's control bar to attach Actors as suggestions. The AI will use their reference images when generating scenes with matching characters.
Post-Generation (Recasting)
After a project is generated, go to the Cast tab, click a character, and use Recast to replace the auto-generated appearance with a Actors from your library.
Managing Actors
- Edit — Update the name, description, or reference images
- Upload additional media — Add more reference images for better consistency
- Favorite — Mark Actors for quick access via the Favorites filter
Team Sharing
Actors is scoped to your team. All team members can access and use the same Actors library, ensuring consistent characters across all team projects.
